DESCRIPTION:Take on the 3 highest mountains in the UK\n\nBe one of the first hikers of the day to take on Ben Nevis\nTackle Scafell Pike at night\nFinish your challenge on Wales’s infamous peak\, Snowdon\nAim to summit all three peaks in 24hrs!\n\nBrace yourself for a fast-paced and physically challenging adventure\, as you take on the three highest peaks in England\, Scotland and Wales. Considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges\, the National 3 Peaks Challenge takes in the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1\,344m)\, Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1\,085m). \nOver the course of two days\, you will trek around 26 miles and ascend to a total height of almost 3\,000m. This is a serious and tough challenge which requires a good level of fitness\, as well as plenty of grit and determination. Ultimately\, however\, your hard work will be rewarded with spectacular views and a huge sense of achievement. \nMINIMUM SPONSORSHIP OPTION \nYou will be required to pay the non-refundable registration fee of £95.00 at the time of booking and raise a minimum amount of sponsorship\, £865.00 for CHUMS Charity. You should send your sponsorship money to CHUMS Charity as you raise it. At least 80% of the minimum sponsorship required (£692.00) must be sent to the charity 11 weeks before departure (by 21/04/2023)\, and the remaining 20% (£173.00) within 4 weeks of completing the challenge (by 06/08/2023). If you have raised the necessary funds\, CHUMS Charity will then pay the balance of your expedition costs (which will not exceed 49% of the minimum sponsorship target). DESCRIPTION:Sunday 11th June 2023\nAre you looking for the ultimate adrenaline rush? Nothing can beat the feeling of free falling from an airplane other than doing it whilst raising money for CHUMS Charity!  \nThis unforgettable experience will take place on 11th June 2023 at Brackley Airfield\, Hinton\, Northamptonshire. You’ll receive training from a seasoned professional\, and a full safety briefing before climbing into the sky with your friends before jumping tandem with an experienced parachutist. \nWhat’s it like? \nImagine standing at the edge of an open doorway in an aircraft flying at 10\,000 feet – the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below. Now imagine leaning forward out of that doorway and letting go – falling forward into the clouds\, diving down through the air as you start freefalling at over 120mph! Then imagine the peace and quiet as the canopy opens\, the steering toggles come down either side of you and you begin a tranquil parachute descent from a mile up in the air\, steering yourself back down to the centre of the drop zone below. Imagine being able to do this for FREE whilst harnessed to a professional freefall parachute instructor and at the same time being able to help a national charity! Stop imagining\, it’s real and it’s happening all the time and you can be part of it… \nWhat does the jump involve? \nTechnically the jump is called a ‘Tandem Skydive’. It is a Skydive because you will be freefalling through the air (without the parachute deployed) for several thousand feet; it is in Tandem because you will be harnessed to a professional parachute instructor at all times throughout the descent (see front photo). This is the only way you can jump from such an altitude without spending thousands of pounds becoming a freefall parachutist. You should send your sponsorship money to your nominated charity as you raise it. At least 80% of the minimum sponsorship required (£260.00) must be sent to the charity 7 weeks before departure (by 27/08/2022)\, and the remaining 20% (£65.00) within 4 weeks of completing the challenge (by 13/11/2022).
