SUMMARY:SCUMRUN 2022
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Scumrun; the original banger ‘rally’ event travelling across Europe for five days of carnage\, all in the name of charity. Scumrun has been established for over ten years and is professionally managed by a team of dedicated and experienced event experts. \nThe event’s prime objective is to raise as much money for CHUMS as possible. Scumrun is an internationally recognised brand with business partners around the world. \nOver the years Scumrun’s participants have helped to raise funds in excess of £800\,000 (so far) for UK children’s charities \nAlongside the charity element there is\, of course\, a challenge associated with entering the event. Finding and purchasing a car to fit the entry criteria and making sure it makes it round. Each morning the route for the day is revealed to the teams\, suggested stops are given of historical sites\, beauty spots etc so they also see parts of the country. \nTo register\, please let us know\, and then sign up via: www.scumrun.com/event-registration \nEvent information…\nThe event starts on a Thursday morning and returns to the UK on a Monday evening. The launch party on the Thursday is the kickoff. Here the event and charity registration take place along with the all-important drivers’ briefing and entertainment. The route for the day will be revealed each morning. \n\nEach team must have a minimum of 2 drivers\, the maximum is the number of people you can safely fit into your chosen vehicle.\nEach team pays £500 entry fee\, unless you pick Scumrun unlimited which is £700. This covers the cost of accommodation\, welcomes drinks in the evenings and safety administrative costs i.e. breathalyser tests.\nEach team’s fundraising target is £500 for the chosen charity. Teams are welcome to raise funds in whatever manner best suits them. Most teams set up a Just Giving or GoFundMe page\, but some teams do use offline methods.\nWe strongly encourage fancy dress for both you and the car as this adds to the fun of the event and prizes will be given for best dressed car\, best dressed team\, best modified car\, fundraising awards and the overall winner of Scumrun is ‘Spirit of Scumrun’\nThe cost of the ferry to the chosen country needs to be covered by the team directly\nPlease note that drivers for each day are breathalysed in the mornings to ensure that if they were drinking the night before they are safe to take part in the rally that day.\nThere are 4 classes of cars you may can join the rally with\, see below.\n\n\n\n\nCLASS\nMAX ENGINE\nVEHICLE SIZE\n\n\n1 LTR & £150\n1000cc\n£150 Max\n\n\nScumrun Built not Bought\nAny Size\nNo Limit\n\n\nScumrun Unlimited\nAny Size\n£2\,000 Upwards\n\n\nScumrun Original\nAny Size\n£500 Max

SUMMARY:Childrens Mental Health Awareness Week
DESCRIPTION:Shine Bright\, Wear Bright!\nWelcome to our main schools campaign which takes place in the week before February half term: Shine Bright\, Wear Bright.\nWe would like to thank all of the schools and organisations that took part in SHINE BRIGHT\, WEAR BRIGHT 2018 during Children’s Mental Health Week. We have loved seeing your photos and how everyone got involved.\nOur competition below is still running until 30th March 2018 – we have had some inspiring entries so far!\nFor more information\, how to pay in your donations or to take part in 2019 please email Anna on\nanna.bunney@chumscharity.org If your school or organisation would like to run any other fundraising events please do not hesitate to contact us.\n\nWe invite schools to wear brightly coloured clothes and donate £1 for a designated dress down day to ‘spread a little kindness’ and ‘be yourself’ via an (optional) themed assembly with videos and downloads available on the below links including our school’s art and poem competition.\n\n \nCHUMS provides Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Services to over 3\,150 children and young people from Luton and Bedfordshire every year and now launching in Peterborough and Cambridge. The children we meet need specialist support to help with anxiety\, increase self–esteem and build resilience. With your support\, our experienced clinicians are able to provide the right support\, at the right time\, for each individual child – allowing them to go forward and reach their full potential.\n• 1 in 10 children have a diagnosable mental health disorder – that’s roughly 3 children in every classroom\n• 1 in 5 young adults have a diagnosable mental health disorder\n• Half of all mental health problems manifest by the age of 14\, with 75% by age 24\n• Almost 1 in 4 children and young people show some evidence of mental ill health (including anxiety and depression)\n• Suicide is the most common cause of death for boys aged between 5-19 years\, and the second most common for girls of this age\n• 1 in 12 young people self-harm at some point in their lives\, though there is evidence that this could be a lot higher. Girls are more likely to self-harm than boys\nIf you would like further information or to register your school please email: anna.bunney@chumscharity.org\n\nShine Bright Event Downloads\n\nSHINE BRIGHT WEAR BRIGHT POSTER\n\nSHINE BRIGHT WEAR BRIGHT LETTER for PARENTS\n\nIDEAS for SECONDARY SCHOOLS\n\nIDEAS for PRIMARY SCHOOLS\n\nACTIVITY SHEETS
