DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Scumrun; the original banger ‘rally’ event travelling across Europe for five days of carnage\, all in the name of charity. Scumrun has been established for over ten years and is professionally managed by a team of dedicated and experienced event experts. \nThe event’s prime objective is to raise as much money for CHUMS as possible. Scumrun is an internationally recognised brand with business partners around the world. \nOver the years Scumrun’s participants have helped to raise funds in excess of £800\,000 (so far) for UK children’s charities \nAlongside the charity element there is\, of course\, a challenge associated with entering the event. Finding and purchasing a car to fit the entry criteria and making sure it makes it round. Each morning the route for the day is revealed to the teams\, suggested stops are given of historical sites\, beauty spots etc so they also see parts of the country. \nTo register\, please let us know\, and then sign up via: www.scumrun.com/event-registration \nEvent information…\nThe event starts on a Thursday morning and returns to the UK on a Monday evening. The launch party on the Thursday is the kickoff. Here the event and charity registration take place along with the all-important drivers’ briefing and entertainment. The route for the day will be revealed each morning. \n\nEach team must have a minimum of 2 drivers\, the maximum is the number of people you can safely fit into your chosen vehicle.\nEach team pays £500 entry fee\, unless you pick Scumrun unlimited which is £700. This covers the cost of accommodation\, welcomes drinks in the evenings and safety administrative costs i.e. breathalyser tests.\nEach team’s fundraising target is £500 for the chosen charity. Teams are welcome to raise funds in whatever manner best suits them. DESCRIPTION:Three children in every classroom have a diagnosable mental health disorder. Only one of them currently receives support! Who decides which two won’t?\nCLICK HERE TO JUMP TO DOWNLOADABLE RESOURCES\n\n\nYou can help CHUMS to change this\, so that children who need support CAN access it. \nWe are asking for schools\, nurseries and organisations across Bedfordshire and Luton to take part in SHINE BRIGHT\, WEAR BRIGHT.  School children\, staff and customers are encouraged to talk about mental health\, being kind and being ourselves\, ending the week with a non-uniform ‘wear bright’ day with children and staff donating £1 to CHUMS. Schools\, nurseries and organisations can also take part in other fundraising activities such as a talent show\, a sponsored silence\, cake sales or sponsored football events. \nIn 2022 we are asking everyone to take part in SHINE BRIGHT\, WEAR BRIGHT and fundraise vital funds for CHUMS and talk about mental health. The theme this year is #GrowingTogether. Pupils and adults are being asked to consider how they have grown and how they can help others to grow. \nWearing Bright can include brightly coloured hair\, wigs\, makeup\, glitter or clothes. \nCHUMS has been supporting children and young people for 24 years. DESCRIPTION:Three children in every classroom have a diagnosable mental health disorder. Only one of them currently receives support! Who decides which two won’t?\n\n\n\nYou can help CHUMS to change this\, so that children who need support CAN access it.\nWe are asking for schools\, nurseries and organisations across Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire to take part in SHINE BRIGHT\, WEAR BRIGHT.  School children\, staff and customers are encouraged to talk about mental health\, being kind and being ourselves\, ending the week with a non-uniform ‘wear bright’ day with children and staff donating £1 to CHUMS. Schools\, nurseries and organisations can also take part in other fundraising activities such as a talent show\, a sponsored silence\, cake sales or sponsored football events.\nIn 2021 we are asking everyone to take part in SHINE BRIGHT\, WEAR BRIGHT and fundraise vital funds for CHUMS and talk about mental health. The theme this year is #ExpressYourself \nWearing Bright can include brightly coloured hair\, wigs\, makeup\, glitter or clothes. \nCHUMS has been supporting children and young people for 22 years. DESCRIPTION:Social enterprise company boss Dawn Hewitt is tackling a massive charity challenge to raise money and awareness for CHUMS\, the mental health and emotional wellbeing service for children\, young people and their families in Bedfordshire\, Peterborough and Cambridgeshire.\nIn June she’s walking 100 miles from Southwold to Silsoe to celebrate the charity’s 21st anniversary.\nShe’s got her sights set on a target of £21\,000 and she’s looking for friends\, supporters and sponsors to help her reach it.\nJoin her for a day along the way and gain sponsorship – an average of 12.5 miles – to make her dream a reality.\nDawn is passionate about showing young people they should never give up. You may be requested to show ID.\nYou are welcome to bring in your own picnic and soft drinks. You are not permitted to bring in any glass or alcohol on site.
