CALM MIND MAY 2023
This May, we’re asking schools, businesses and individuals across Bedfordshire to take part in our campaign “Calm Mind May” to raise awareness of anxiety and raise funds to support our work supporting children, young people and families with their mental health.
What does CALM MIND MAY consist of?
Calm Mind May is a sponsored 30 day, 1 minute, Mindful Meditation challenge; “The Mindful Minute”
We’re providing resource packs containing mindfulness activities for use in schools and the workplace as well as weekly emails on anxiety and mindfulness.
The MINDFUL MINUTE CHALLENGE. 2nd May – 31st May 2023
Taking part couldn’t be easier! Simply listen to a 1 minute mindfulness meditation per day using our audio tracks and get sponsored by your friends, family, classmates or colleagues for each day. You can download your sponsorship form here
We have created this campaign as part of Mental Health Awareness Week which runs from 15-21 May 2023.
Anxiety is the leading mental health problem in classrooms.
Referrals to children and young people’s mental health services are rising – almost 4 times since 2017
5 children in every classroom have a diagnosable mental health problem but only 1/3 currently receive support.
You can help chums to change this, so that children who need support can access it.

Anxiety is on the rise within the workplace.
71% of managers report seeing signs of stress in their team as a result of the cost of living crisis.
The cost to the workplace of mental health conditions in staff is £1300 per employee
The return on investment per £1 spent on mental health is £5.30 – so the benefits of a focus on mental health are clear.
