Role Overview:

As our Social Media Expert, you will play a crucial role in increasing our online presence, engaging with our audience, and promoting the vital work we do at CHUMS Charity. You will have the opportunity to shape our social media strategy, create compelling content, and drive meaningful conversations around mental health and emotional wellbeing. Through your expertise and creativity, you will help us reach and inspire a wider audience, ultimately raising awareness and support for our cause.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the wider team to create an effective social media strategy to enhance CHUMS Charity’s online presence and visibility.
  2. Create engaging and impactful content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  3. Help to maintain our social media accounts, ensuring regular updates and timely responses to comments and messages.
  4. Monitor social media trends, analyse performance metrics, and provide insights to optimise content and engagement strategies.
  5. Stay up to date with industry developments and emerging social media platforms, suggesting innovative ways to leverage new opportunities.
  6. Engage with our audience, foster conversations, and build a strong online community around mental health and emotional wellbeing.

  • Proven experience in social media management, preferably in the non-profit or mental health sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content tailored to different platforms and audiences.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas for social media campaigns.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for mental health and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.
